NOT ALONE
The Love Sisters Project’s mission is to comfort those who are suffering, especially those who are victims of violent crime. We will support those in need with both big and small gestures. While we can never truly understand what others are experiencing, we will show those we serve a measure of kindness.
Our message is simply to let those in need know “you are not alone”.
Our logo honors the Love sisters, Nancy and Joan. Nancy and Joan’s maiden name was Love. Nancy’s passion was dancing and the shoes in the “V” recognize the importance dancing played in her early life.
The “ACT” portion of the logo honors Joan. After Nancy’s murderer was freed, Joan fought back, taking a year out of her life to lobby the Missouri legislature to balance the juvenile code with victim’s rights. The name of her organization was “A Challenge Today”.
Joan’s activism to move beyond victimhood is the inspiration for the Love Sisters Project, an organization based on compassion for those who need to know they are not alone.
